A/B TestingPersonalisation nosto.com

Nosto is a commerce personalisation platform that adds product recommendations, A/B testing, search and merchandising to online stores, with integrations for Shopify, Adobe Commerce and BigCommerce.

Its merchants are mid-sized and larger retailers, strongest in fashion, beauty and sporting goods, in the Nordics, the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. A Nosto script indicates substantial traffic, a budget for conversion tooling and an active e-commerce team, alongside email, reviews and loyalty tools.

The 1,845 stores running Nosto are a list of established direct-to-consumer brands and retailers. E-commerce agencies, reviews and loyalty vendors, email and SMS platforms, search and product-data tools, returns and payment providers, and competing personalisation vendors buy it. A new Nosto installation shows a retailer scaling its online operation; a dropped one usually means a replatforming or a vendor switch, both of which are moments when agencies and alternative vendors are being evaluated.

Nosto runs on 1,845 websites, which is 0.4% of all A/B Testing detections we record. Websites optimised with Nosto are most often served from Canada (903), Germany (367) and United States (210), and .com, .fr and .net are the most common domain endings. The most common versions are 8.1.5 (165 sites) and 4.2.1 (41).

Questions about Nosto websites

How many websites use Nosto?

As of November 2, 2026, 1,845 websites load Nosto on their homepage. The number is recalculated every night from our own crawl of the web.

Who buys lists of websites using Nosto?

Competing testing, personalisation and pop-up vendors, analytics and consent tools, and agencies that sell conversion optimisation. A website that runs experiments has traffic worth optimising and a team that measures results; one that just added Nosto has just started that work, one that dropped it has changed tools or stopped.

Where are Nosto websites hosted?

Canada leads with 903 websites, followed by Germany (367) and United States (210). The country is where the website is served from; sites on a hosted platform show the platform's country.

How do I find websites that just started using Nosto?

The New tab on this page lists websites where our crawler saw Nosto for the first time in the last days, newest first; the Dropped tab lists the ones that removed it. Both download with a subscription and refresh every morning.

How do I get a list of websites using Nosto?

A free BetaScan account downloads a {sample_rows}-row sample. A subscription from $69 a month gives the full list of 1,845 domains, or a dataset with emails, phones, country, hosting and ranks, filtered by country, TLD, rank and registration date. See pricing.

How does BetaScan detect Nosto?

Our crawler fetches the homepage of every domain we track and matches the page and its response headers against the signatures of 7,636 technologies. A website counts as using Nosto when its latest crawl shows the signature; when the signature disappears, the site moves to the dropped list.

How can you tell a website uses Nosto?

The storefront loads a script from connect.nosto.com containing the merchant's account id, and the page carries hidden elements with class names such as nosto_product, nosto_customer and nosto_cart that pass data to the recommendation engine. Recommendation slots are div elements with nosto in their class or id, and the tagging is present on the homepage and product pages alike.

Which businesses use Nosto?

Online retailers with catalogues large enough for recommendations to matter: fashion and footwear brands, cosmetics and skincare, sports and outdoor equipment, furniture and home decor, jewellery and gifts. They are mostly mid-market merchants with their own e-commerce team, running on Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce or BigCommerce, and concentrated in Northern and Western Europe, North America and Australia.

What can you sell to Nosto merchants?

Services for a growing online retailer: platform development and design agencies, email and SMS marketing, loyalty and referral programmes, reviews and user-generated content, site search, product information management, returns and shipping solutions, payment methods and buy-now-pay-later, fraud prevention, and performance marketing. These merchants already pay for optimisation tools, so they understand the value of conversion-related offers.
