Segment is a customer data platform owned by Twilio, which acquired it in 2020, that collects event data from websites and apps, unifies customer profiles and sends the data to hundreds of analytics, marketing and data warehouse tools. It is used by product and data teams to manage tracking in one place. It has a free plan and paid subscriptions based on volume and features.
